Starting age

For my method, age 5½ to 8 is a good range to start lessons. Some children may be ready earlier than that, or in some cases it may be wise to wait until a child’s ability to focus or finger dexterity has developed. Children who have been exposed to good music, who have been singing songs and moving to music, or who have older siblings taking music lessons are often ready to start lessons at an earlier age and typically progress at a faster rate.

Feel free to contact me to make an appointment for a free consultation or trial lesson to find out whether your child is ready to start lessons.
